Fern Gully

I was born this day on a carpet of green

Ferngully sanctuary

Where Mighty God Breathed Life in me

and set my feet to running to His mountain

Calling me to listen to the tree song

a Sisterhood unshakeable in faith

and longing

behind the char and scars

He soothed my heart and bruised soul

He cast my searching eyes above the fractured light

to Heaven

He raised my Spirit from the shadowlands

and bathed torn broken bruised heals

Spread forth a pool of cool and soothing greens

rich brown stems

and roots that streamed to reach and stretch

like branches wrapped around me

for stories given only in rewriting pain for Grace

Embracing understory lace to lovely tatted latices

Here in the still, I find my place with you, with Him

and plant my face inside His bossom

Given to a blessed will

Where Love and Gratitude can stand the test of time

And through divine raised boughs a prayer remains

Here in the woodsy framework

I hear God Whisper, “We need each other.”

No worldly thing can fell this kind of Love unfeigned

Where there is breathe, there’s life

and I’m Alive

in making His joy mine

About hrobertson2013

“Each man ( and mermaid) will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land”. Isa 32:2 NIV Warning: The author of this blog is not an ordinary individual. Even Mermaids need a rest from all that's real and grown up. Welcome to the wonder of blog. Come be audience to all that's wet and wild in her stories, poems and thoughts. Instructor by day, super hero by night, and mystical mermaid by summer. Whenever she has the fortune of diving into a pond, reservoir, or mountain waterfall, you'll find her there swimming, and singing songs of life.
