Long Way to Church

Rockport stretchmarks

Stratus Status Amid Melting Winter Gray

Long way to church….Reservoir stretch marks…life seethes…unknown abyss….owns this prayer, like a first caught fish, Childhood, motherhood…frozen fish… men bend… drill… laparoscoptic ice holes…friends… tipping Bud Light…rocking camp chairs…in salamander warming tents …like proud expecting fathers….dream catching…. sun light…breathe…stir coffee  creamer…reel in, in real time …. silver slurry delight…

Laid back Sunday drive…scenes…and seen…. in overlooking…set the easel… sight the Iphone….half expect to see the Holy One…with smiles…open arms…salutations… walk on water…”Try that side”…sigh…a mile away….my empty room and womb… broken summer selves… bounce by with dogs…drawing on curved lines and happy memories… beautifully across a dam and spillway sketchpad…borrowing kneaded tumble weed erasures…..Nature heals…like watercolor pencils…fills the ice pack….on a winter writer’s day….sings the blues and hallelujah.

About hrobertson2013

“Each man ( and mermaid) will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land”. Isa 32:2 NIV Warning: The author of this blog is not an ordinary individual. Even Mermaids need a rest from all that's real and grown up. Welcome to the wonder of blog. Come be audience to all that's wet and wild in her stories, poems and thoughts. Instructor by day, super hero by night, and mystical mermaid by summer. Whenever she has the fortune of diving into a pond, reservoir, or mountain waterfall, you'll find her there swimming, and singing songs of life.
