Okay I hope this picture sent! Or this will make absolutely NO SENSE!
Ha ha…..This is what the Timp Emergency Response Team woke up to on Saturday morning! This morning…perhaps a repeat. No se’. Magical! no less…and I am a bit envious. 🙂
Sadly, I was home and cozy in my Wanship single serve bed. I was however, wonderfully nudged… by rifts from a distant, two-mile-away evangelical band, not conjunto, but dark roasted flavored “Message” music. From beneath a big top blue and white striped tent….and all of this in beautiful Spanish trills and trails….wafting a message I longed to understand! These lyrics bounced like me and bambi, as juniper boughs brushed our backs and tickled big mule deer ears. And so the distant sound of music and message called, and I followed, sometimes blazing ahead of my husband, sometimes following…not sure of anything really, much less the denomination or persuasion of Christianity…..but in the end we witnessed top down, a wonderful Mexican Revival!
I may drop in again today, as part of my deer trailing. (I will add a photo in time.)
If I am encountered again….posing….. waiting in line at the pulchritudinous (cough) latrine and I am asked what I am doing here….I don’t think I will answer in Covey form…..”Sharpening the axe.” or “Looking for firewood.” No. Truth is, I may say…”Nada.” or rather, “I am just curious,” and as a former Chicana at TLU, and current, self-imposed LIA (Latino in Action) liaison, I could legitimately say this thing…..and in time feel right at home here…..in honing Espanol with a wetstone I picked up along the Weber River, and my blade oiled and ready….okay. Ha!
I love diversity, choice, people, places, and…. Sundays! Every day is an new and wonderful adventure worthy of grateful prayers of thanksgiving…. in any language.
This is so much more fun than waging laundry basket wars and sorting SOCKS! What is “on task”?
