Little Fish in a Big Pond: My Italian Son

Dear Mom:)
That is so cool that you are making progress on the opera!! And that is so cool that David Naylor is doing the music too!!! If I am not mistaken, isn’t he a NS graduate? I thought I heard that somewhere. Okay, I will try to write more stuff! haha:) This week was good. We had zone conference in Taranto and then Saturday and Sunday we had District Conference (basically like stake conference). It was great! There was a member of the 70 there named Elder Adler! He is German. It was a really cool experience!
Christmas here is really pretty similar to how it is in the states! Really worldly:) haha. There are lots of lights on all of the streets hung from between the buildings. Lots of Christmas sales in the stores. Lots of cool nativity scenes. I think it will get more festive closer to Chriatmas day.
I have attended a couple of catholic masses here in Crotone. But always masses specifically for a funeral ceremony. It is a really cool thing to see! Especially when they have a choir or guitars or an organ. The Catholic church is huge here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want to learn a little more about the catholic church here in southern Italy you should do a wikipedia search of Padre Pio. Because he is like the top saint in southern Italy and his pictures and statues are EVERYWHERE!!!! hahaha:) So yeah, this is my 4th month in Crotone and I think that I will probably stay here until Febuary but we will see what happens:) I love the mission and I love Jesus!!!!!!!!!! I love you all so much and I am so excited to skype!!!!!

Love, Anziano Robertson
